Last month we announced our panel discussion on post-production security at NAB and we're now delighted to confirm our final panel, where Fortium CEO Mathew Gilliat-Smith will be welcoming:

  • Mike Jackman, EVP of post-production and worldwide delivery at FilmNation Entertainment ,who personally oversaw the post-production of Arrival and The Founder (he is also co-chairman of the New York Production Alliance)
  • Dominic Jackson, product manager at Telestream Enterprise Products
  • Mike Flathers, chief technologist of the Aspera Developer Platform at Aspera
  • Rob Gonsalves, director of architecture at Avid
  • Chris Johnson, global director of content protection for CDSA

Can security be frictionless in your post production workflows?

The panel is posed with the following dilemma: Cybersecurity for post-production workflows is crucial to safeguarding your digital assets, revenues and reputation. So why are the solutions for protecting media files considered so complex — is it perception or reality? Are security measures seen as infringing on productivity or artistic talent? How do you introduce enhanced security measures that are both frictionless and effective to reduce the present risks of today?

“We’ve put together a panel of experts that work within these key areas of media and entertainment to debate these issues at NAB. We’re thrilled that they’ve given us their time to discuss and debate such a sensitive topic,” said Mathew Gilliat-Smith, CEO of Fortium.

This debate will be held on Tuesday 25th April 10.30am, in the Connected Media IP Debate Theatre in hall South Upper.
